Shaping Nails - Emery Board Files

Emery boards are pieces of cardboard which have emery or emery paper glued to them, making them both abrasive and flexible, used for fingernail and toenail care. They are used to shape and smooth the nail. Emery boards are inexpensive and disposable, making them a sanitary alternative to metal nail files.

Solution for healthy nails.

Frequent use of nail polish might damage and stain nails. Therefore in other to prevent these from happening, there are some steps to take to ensure healthy nails.

1. One of the most important things you can do when painting your nails is to remember to always apply a base coat before applying your nail polish color. A base coat will stop any chemicals in the nail polish from actually getting to your nails. Also, it prevents your nails from getting a yellowish hue and staining it. Apply one coat of basecoat and wait for a minute or so and then apply the polish in 2 to 3 thin layers rather than one thick layer.

2. After applying polish, apply a layer of topcoat to protect the polish and give it a nice, high gloss shine.

3. Apply Cuticle Oil to each nail at the cuticle area, then massage into your cuticle and nails too. It will help keep your nails moisturized and healthy.

4. After removing the nail polish, apply the nail treatment essence as some nail polish removers are bad for your nails, as they dry out the nail, because they are acidic, this leaves your nail quite brittle and easily snapped. The treatment essence will keep your nails healthy.
